Let the Games Begin

Challenge friends in a game of trap shooting

If you've never tried shooting sports before, you're in for a good time. It helps to understand the game before you hit the range. There are always experienced shooters on hand to help you.

Trap involves the throwing of a single target from a house in the center of the field. The game includes:

•    Five different stations that you move through
•    Five targets launched, one at a time, at each station
•    The target fly away from you and may go left or right
•    An overall score based off the number of hits or of 25 possible

Test your aim in a game of trap shooting with friends and family. Call now to learn about upcoming games at Missoula Trap & Skeet Club.

Challenge yourself with a game of international trap shooting

If you've mastered a game of trap shooting, it might be time to take your skills to the next level with a game of international trap shooting. International trap shooting is similar to a regular trap shooting game, but it involves hitting two targets launched at the same time and up to 50 MPH.

International trap shooting requires more attention and focus and allows less time to react to multiple targets. If you're ready to take your trap skills to the next level, you'll love a fun game of international trap shooting.

Youth Shooter

Missoula trap and skeet youth program is run by David Clarke. David is the Missoula County shotgun shooting sports leader, Pheasants Forever youth coordinator, and head coach for the Scholastic Clay Target Program for Missoula. Due to the fact we have different programs, we have a variety of opportunities for young shooters to become involved. May through August we have weekly training at the Missoula trap and skeet club for all shooters every Tuesday night.

Those who want to advance and become more proficient can join our league shooting and shoot registered shoots under our SCTP program. We provide free shells to all youth shooters and registered shooting fees are paid by our program as well. We also have a selection of fourteen shotguns for our youth to use and we have guns that will fit smaller shooters without much recoil. We also provide live bird shooting twice a year sponsored by the Five Valley’s chapter of Pheasants Forever. David also spends many Sundays at the range and will work new shooters into his schedule. David can be contacted at 406-207-2502 or dclarke1@farmersagent.com.
