Challenge Your Focus With a Game of Skeet Shooting

Challenge Your Focus With a Game of Skeet Shooting

Try a competitive and challenging game at our range

The game of Skeet was used by the Air Force during World War II to improve the ability of gunners to shoot flying targets. Skeet challenges you to shoot targets from many angles and includes the shooting of doubles during the round.  The game involves hitting single or multiple clay targets launched from different directions at once. It takes a little longer to learn the game but once you are familiar with each of the stations it becomes routine.  This is a great way to tun up your shooting for hunting season   The game does a great job of teaching leads at different angles that you will experience in the field while hunting.

During your game of skeet at Missoula Trap & Skeet Club, you'll move through eight different stations and shoot from different angles. Skeet shooting is great to enjoy solo, but it's also a great outdoor activity for:

  • Work outings: Find out how competitive your coworkers really are.
  • Birthday parties: Celebrate with friends and family at the range.
  • Bachelor parties: Bond with your buddies over a little competition.
  • Corporate events: Host a company event at a shooting range.
  • Fundraisers: Support a cause by hosting a skeet game fundraiser.

Learn more about 5 Stand

During a game of 5 Stand, you'll be challenged even more so than in a trap or skeet game. With eight different launch machines, you'll be shooting targets coming from multiple angles in a number of different ways. Machine placement changes throughout the game and is never in the same spot more than once.

With unpredictable angles and multiple targets, you're sure to face a challenge in a game of 5 Stand. If you're brave enough to step up to the plate without prior shooting experience, we applaud you. However, if you want to ease into your shooting practice and start with a game of trap or skeet, you'll still have a great time.

Visit our shooting range today to try out challenging outdoor activities with your friends.

Youth Shooter

Missoula trap and skeet youth program is run by David Clarke. David is the Missoula County shotgun shooting sports leader, Pheasants Forever youth coordinator, and head coach for the Scholastic Clay Target Program for Missoula. Due to the fact we have different programs, we have a variety of opportunities for young shooters to become involved. May through August we have weekly training at the Missoula trap and skeet club for all shooters every Tuesday night.

Those who want to advance and become more proficient can join our league shooting and shoot registered shoots under our SCTP program. We provide free shells to all youth shooters and registered shooting fees are paid by our program as well. We also have a selection of fourteen shotguns for our youth to use and we have guns that will fit smaller shooters without much recoil. We also provide live bird shooting twice a year sponsored by the Five Valley’s chapter of Pheasants Forever. David also spends many Sundays at the range and will work new shooters into his schedule. David can be contacted at 406-207-2502 or dclarke1@farmersagent.com
