The game of Skeet was used by the Air Force during World War II to improve the ability of gunners to shoot flying targets. Skeet challenges you to shoot targets from many angles and includes the shooting of doubles during the round. The game involves hitting single or multiple clay targets launched from different directions at once. It takes a little longer to learn the game but once you are familiar with each of the stations it becomes routine. This is a great way to tun up your shooting for hunting season The game does a great job of teaching leads at different angles that you will experience in the field while hunting.
During your game of skeet at Missoula Trap & Skeet Club, you'll move through eight different stations and shoot from different angles. Skeet shooting is great to enjoy solo, but it's also a great outdoor activity for:
During a game of 5 Stand, you'll be challenged even more so than in a trap or skeet game. With eight different launch machines, you'll be shooting targets coming from multiple angles in a number of different ways. Machine placement changes throughout the game and is never in the same spot more than once.
With unpredictable angles and multiple targets, you're sure to face a challenge in a game of 5 Stand. If you're brave enough to step up to the plate without prior shooting experience, we applaud you. However, if you want to ease into your shooting practice and start with a game of trap or skeet, you'll still have a great time.
